Excellent experience at the Arkon
The hotel is in a quiet and non-touristy part of the Gdansk, away from the bustle. It is quite near the Oliwa train station, where there are fairly frequent trains to Sopot (5 minutes) and Gdansk main station (15 minutes). As a result of being in this location, there was virtually no noise in the room, which was greatly appreciated.
The atmosphere is that of a small, modern business hotel. All the staff were friendly and competent.
Our standard room with a double bed was spacious enough, clean and well maintained. The same went for the bathroom, which had a shower and no bath. The bed was very comfortable.
Overall cleanliness of the room, common areas and the restaurant was very good.
Being on half-board package we found the breakfast selection very good and the evening meals also tasty, with ample portions.
Since the hotel is a bit out of the way, it is quite a bit cheaper that Gdansk centre options. In our opinion it offers good value, as long as you are aware of and comfortable with the location.

Convinient location. Decent size room and bathroom. All Staff I spoke to were very friendly. I particularly liked that there was always someone on reception, unlike some of the other hotels I stayed in over the years. Cleanliness - all good. I will stay there again.
